Weekend Roundup: October 27- 29

Happy Halloween! It’s the official Halloween Weekend and there is so much to do around the city!

This is the second weekend of Boo at The Zoo and there are several trick or treat events going on too. Try out a flashlight tour at the Olentangy Caverns or see Peppa Pig Live at The Ohio Theatre.

Wherever the weekend takes you, I’m sure candy is in your future! Enjoy the treats!

Friday

October 27-29: Boo at the Zoo: 5:00 p.m.- 9:00 p.m on Friday and  10:00 a.m.- 9:00 p.m.on Saturday and 1o:00 a.m.- 8:00 p.m. on Sunday at The Columbus Zoo | Halloween event of heroic proportions! Special regions are dressed up for this spooky-kooky holiday at the Zoo. 

October 27-29: Not so Scary Movies at Marcus Theaters: 10:00 a.m. | Showing The Book of Life this weekend for $3. 

October 27: Howl-O-Ween: 4:00 p.m. at Ohio Wildlife Center in Powell | Spooky is their specialty at this family-friendly Halloween event. Come enjoy walks through their white tail trail, visits from spooky animal ambassadors like owls Bella, Alex, and Woodsy, snakes checkers, bats, echo, and Percy and Lenore, their American Crows.

October 27: Trick or Treat: 4:00-8:00 p.m. at the Shops at Worthington Place| There will be candy, a balloon artist, face painting, characters, and crafts. (while supplies last)

October 27: Gymb-O-Ween Costume Party: 4:00 p.m. -6:00 pm on October 27th and 2:00 p.m.-4:00 p.m. on October 29th at Gymboree Play & Music in Gahanna  |  Costume parade, crafts, music, sweet treats and more. $15 for members, $20 nonmembers and $10 for second siblings

October 27: Family Fun Night: 7:00 p.m. at Homestead Metro Park in Hilliard | Enjoy crafts, activities and stargazing. Meet at the Lakeside Pavilion. Age 3-12.

October 27-28: Little Shop of Horrors: 7:00 p.m. at Coffman High School | $5 for students and $10 for adults at the door. Come on out for the show! 

October 27: Haunted Wine Cellar: Times begin at 7:30 p.m. – 9:30 p.m. at Wyandotte Winery | Haunted Wine Cellar Tour with food and wine pairings! Get your tickets today. $35 dollars for this 2 1/2 hour Halloween event! 

Saturday

October 28: All Ohio Reptile Show: 9:00 a.m. -3:00 p.m. at The Franklin County Fairgrounds | Come out and see your favorite reptile friends!

October 28: Family Fun and Awesome Autumn: 10:00 a.m. at Sharon Woods Metro Park | Explore the wonders of the season with games, crafts and other activities. Ages 3-8. Meet at Spring Hollow Lodge. 

October 28: Scarysville: 10:00 a.m. – 12:00 p.m. in Uptown Marysville | Join the streets of Uptown Marysville as they come alive with Halloween fun. Children are invited to dress up and visit merchants for candy and other Halloween goodies. 

October 28: Trunk-or-Treat: 11:00 a.m. – 1:00 p.m. at Stonybrook United Methodist in Gahanna | Come dressed in costume and ready to collect some candy. Activities include a trunk or treat, friendly fairytale forest, playground, games and $ kids meals available to everyone. Please see their website for updated information.

October 28: Trick or Treat at the Conservatory: 11:00 a.m.- 4:00 p.m. | Get the perfect photo of your little one in costume while trick or treating among boo-tiful horticultural displays. You can decorate a bag before seeking out the various treat stations! 

October 28: Trick or Treat in Historic Dublin: 1:00 p.m. – 4:00 p.m. | Pick up your map and sign up for contests at the PetPeople table at the corner of Bridge & High Street. All kids and Pups welcome. 🙂 

October 28: Halloween Dress Rehearsal at Disney Store at Polaris Mall: 2:00 p.m.- 3:30 p.m. | Come dressed as your favorite character and join us for games, crafts, a costume parade, free giveaways and more!

October 28: Pumpkin Run and Party: 3:00 p.m. (Pumpkin Run) and 4:00 p.m. (Halloween Party) at Mingo Park | After the race they will be having the Annual Halloween Party and Trunk or Treat which starts at 4 pm in Mingo Park. So stick around for hotdogs, music, pumpkins and more fun!

October 28: Trick or Treat Trail: 6:00 p.m. in Powell | Don’t leave the trick or treating just to adults! Come out and grab your trail ticket in Upper Arlington and then visit the 6 businesses in Powell for your sweet treats! 

October 28: Flashlight Cave Tours: 6:00 p.m.- 6:45 pm. at Olentangy Caverns | Explore the caves with only the glow of your flashlight! Must be 8 to register. 

Sunday

October 29: Trunk or Treat: 10:30 a.m. at Radiant Life Church in Dublin | Inflatables, character photos, food, carnival games and trunk-or-treating, and lots of candy 🙂 Please see their website as information is updated about this event. 

October 29: Halloween Family Fun Day at North Market: 11:00 a.m.- 2:00 p.m. | Come trick or treat at The North Market! 

October 29: Lewis Center Fall Fest: 1:00 p.m. at Little Bear Golf Club | 3rd annual gathering with bounce houses, games, and activities for all!

October 29: Halloween Party: 2:00 p.m. – 4:00 p.m. at Inniswood Metro Garden | Join in the fun at the gardens for activities and crafts! 

October 29: Gymb-O-Ween Costume Party:  2:00 p.m.-4:00 p.m. on October 29th at Gymboree Play & Music in Gahanna (also on October 27th from 4:00 -6:00 p.m.)  |  Costume parade, crafts, music, sweet treats and more. $15 for members, $20 nonmembers and $10 for second siblings

October 29: Trunk or Treat: 4:00 p.m. – 5:30 p.m. at Jerome United Methodist Church in Plain City | Travel from car to car collecting candy.

October 29: Candy by the Carload: 4:00 p.m. – 6:00 p.m. in Powell | The parking lot will be transformed into a trick or treaters’ treasure chest as local businesses and organizations set up booths and car trunks filled with candy, toys, and other Halloween goodies. 

October 29: Totally Toddler Fall Fun: 4:00 p.m. at Blacklick Woods Metro Park | Watch your toddler play in the leaves and enjoy some good old-fashioned fun. Age 16 months to 3 years old. Meet at Meadows Picnic Area.

October 29: Fall Fun Fest & Trunk-or-Treat 4:00 p.m. – 6:00 p.m. at CrossRoads Baptist Church | Bounce houses, carnival games and more!

October 29: Fallapalooza: 4:00 p.m. – 9:00 p.m. at Everal Barn at Heritage Park | Celebrate the season with the whole family enjoying free pumpkin painting, festive games, and hay rides. 

October 29: Peppa Pig’s Surprise at The Ohio Theater: 5:00 p.m. | An interactive show which entertains while encouraging social skills and creativity, and teaches the value of positive family relationships. Oh, and how to jump into muddy puddles obviously!

October 29: Hilliard Trunk or Treat 2017: 5:00 p.m. at Hilliard Ray Patch Family YMCA | 6th annual event where kids can visit the cars and trick or treat! Food trucks have been added this year for this wonderful community event! 

October 29: Trunk or Treat: 5:00 – 6:00 p.m. at Church of Messiah in Westerville | Children in 5th grade and under can enjoy Trunk-or-Treating.  Games, a puppet show and food for families.  (Rain location is McVay Fellowship Hall.)

October 29: Trunk or Treat: 5:00 p.m. – 7:00 p.m. at Northwest Bible Church in Hilliard | Free candy, hot dogs and water! Rain or Shine. 

October 29: Trunk or Treat: 5:00 p.m. at Capital City Church | Travel from car to car collecting candy.

October 29: Trunk or Treat: 5:00 p.m. – 6:30 p.m. at Eljer Park (401 E. Ninth Street, Marysville) | Enjoy free candy, games, prizes, hot dogs, popcorn and if the weather cooperates there will be inflatables for the kids. Bring a bag for the loot!
