Haunted Hoochie / Dead Acres

  • Very popular
  • A “touch” haunt where they are allowed to touch, push, etc
  • Very long lines if you don’t purchase the VIP pass
  • Pataskala, Ohio
  • Rating: R

Pataskala Haunted Forest

  • Longest running haunted attraction in Ohio
  • Costumed volunteers inhabit the roles of the fictional Murdock family. They roam the paths and buildings inside the forest, jumping out of the darkness with chainsaws and painted or masked faces.
  • Rating PG-13
  • Proceeds go to the local Lions Club and Youth Organization

Scareatorium

  • 2 haunts for the price of 1
  • Real former institution
  • 2 Optional Escape Rooms. 3 min to solve the puzzle and win a prize

The MAiZE at Little Darby Creek-Field of Fright

  • Milford Center, OH (close to Plain City)
  • Haunted Path Opens at night
  • Friday and Saturday nights October 6-28

Zombie Park

  • Mount Gilead, OH
  • Practice shooting zombies with paintballs and then board the Zombie Hunting Vehicle as it drives through the woods of Splatter Park. 
  • For ages 5 and up.
  • Open most Friday and Saturday nights from October 7-November 4th. Read the FAQ’s.

Dublin Ghost Walk

  • Meet in front of the Dublin Library
  • This walking tour takes about 2 hours and is a distance of a little over a half of a mile.
  • May-September the tour is on Saturday nights at 8:00 p.m. In October, the tour is on Friday and Saturday nights at 7:30 p.m.
  • $10 cash only, no reservations are needed.

Escape From Blood Prison

  • October 12th – Nov 5th
  • Ohio State Reformatory, Mansfield
  • Fundraiser for facility restoration

Cedar Point-Haunt at Halloweekends

  • Friday and Saturday nights from September 15th- October 28th (Open on Sundays, but not all of the activities are going on.)
  • Sandusky, OH
  • 6 outdoor mazes, 6 scare zones, live shows and other surprises.
  • The entire park is decorated for Halloween. At night, things get a lot scarier in certain areas of the park. There are a lot of family-friendly activities during the daytime (Great Pumpkin Fest) and of course the fun rides!

Lake Eerie Fearfest at Ghostly Manor

Kings Island-Halloween Haunt

  • Friday and Saturday nights from September 22nd- October 28th (Open on Sundays, but no Haunt.)
  • Kings Island, OH
  • 10 haunted attractions
  • The Haunt is scarier, but during the day there are family-friendly activities known as The Great Pumpkin Fest.

Carnage Haunted House

  • 27 room indoor Haunt features over 15,000 sq ft of innovative, scary and exciting new ideas that have been brought to life!  Food trucks and outdoor movies to entertain those outside as well.

Haunted Hoorah

  • The Haunted Hoorah’s fright begins on a military bus as it transports recruits to the first haunted destination—the doctor’s residence. Those recruits who are lucky enough to escape the doctor’s madness will be transported to a second destination where you will come face to face with your greatest fears. 
  • Extreme Dread Experience is an additional, interactive option only for those 18+

  • Horror Acres + Maze of Insanity

Terror Maze

  • You will see ghastly scenes of Murder and Mayhem including Dental Death, the Blood bed and The Chain Saw Death Box. You will be shocked and terrified. Your trip through the Terror Maze will take approximately 30 minutes. The Terror Maze is open even if it rains. All paths are covered to prevent a muddy walk

Haunted Wagon Rides- Young’s Jersey Dairy

  • Yellow Springs, OH
  • These scary stories are designed for families, but they are spooky. The ride goes into a dark cornfield where various monsters and goblins will jump out. They don’t chase, run or grab anyone.

Escape Rooms

These Escape Rooms are open year-round and aren’t exactly haunted houses. They are a bit spooky, challenging, and fun so we added them to the list!
