    {Disclosure:: We’ve partnered together with So Soft Brands to give our honest opinion about the products we sampled.}

    Summer nights are filled with patio dining, catching lighting bugs, roasting marshmallows and playing in the yard. Those activities are full of fun, but can quickly be ruined once the mosquitos start biting. We were excited to try So Soft Brands to see if it helped keep the bugs away.

    Our Opinions on So Soft Brands Bug Spray::

    Erin’s opinion:

    My good friend Jen and I tried SoSoft Mosquito and Bug Spray on the hottest, muggiest weekend of the summer. We hosted her family for a cookout and I knew it would be a good opportunity to try the spray. We both applied it liberally to our arms and legs around 5:30 p.m. I stayed bite-free until about 9 p.m. but I am not typically very prone to mosquito bites. Jen is more bite-prone, and started feeling bites about an hour sooner. Overall, it did do the job of repelling mosquitoes over several hours outside on a very hot evening and had a pleasant, almost soapy smell.

    Leslie’s opinion:
    I love the natural ingredients in this product. It was very helpful in keeping the bugs away. The smell was also pleasant.
    Amy’s opinion:
    I liked the pleasant lemon scent and prefer that over smelling like chemicals.  It was comforting to know that So Soft Brands Mosquito and Bug Spray is deet free, natural and organic.  The 2 oz. bottle was the perfect size to fit in my purse so I could reapply the product when we were away from home.
    Helen’s opinion:
    We enjoyed a mosquito bite free day at Indian Run Falls Park in Dublin! All thanks to SoSoft Bug Spray!

    Our Opinions on So Soft Brands Poison Ivy Soap::

    Nadia’s opinion:

    So Soft Brands created a handcrafted poison ivy soap. Well, let me tell you there is nothing poisonous about that soap. If the name isn’t intriguing enough to try it maybe the all natural ingredients and the eco-friendly package will convince you. I had the pleasure of trying the soap, so here is my take. Even though it works as a cure from poison ivy, I used it as a regular soap. When you first open it you smell the pine with the tea tree oil, if you think the smell is too much no worries it doesn’t linger. While you wash your hands it creates a luxurious lather that leaves your hands, oh so soft no pun intended ? Your hands are left feeling moisturized and squeaky clean. Give it a try! See a full list of ingredients at the So Soft Brands website.

    Erin’s opinion:

    After pulling lots of Nightshade and poison ivy from a wooded area behind our patio I thought it would be a good idea to use the Poison Ivy Soap. I was wearing gloves when I pulled the weeds, but they’re old and full of holes, so I knew it couldn’t hurt to try the soap. It smelled great, lathered well and left my skin very soft. Best of all–no signs of irritation from any of the plants I may have come into contact with!

She’s an avid traveler, yet can’t master the art of packing. Her philosophy is bring it all because you don’t know if you’re going to need it. If you ever decide to take a trip with her, don’t worry about bringing a camera because she’ll take enough photos of the experience that it will likely crash your hard drive. Before kids, you could find everything neatly organized and straight vacuum lines in her carpet, but these days she's not bothered with worrying about the small stuff. You can catch her belting out her favorite song, “Girls Just Wanna Have Fun” and using her two left feet to bust a move with her family during their frequent impromptu dance parties. She loves living in such a family-friendly city!
