I think it’s safe to say that this weekend is the official kickoff of the Holidays! Anyone else feel like they have been waiting forever for the kickoff to begin? The anticipation is over and this weekend is sure to get you into the spirit!
Friday is full of Christmas Lights! Is it a family tradition to head to Easton for the Tree Lighting Parade? What about the Wildlights at the Zoo? Both are happening this weekend!
On Saturday, there is a Christmas Market at Lynd’s Fruit Farm or head to the Christmas Corner in Hilliard for Christmas shopping.
On Sunday, head to Sunbury for a Thanksgiving story hour on the farm or the craft fair at the Worthington Community Center. The Ohio Lantern Festival also kicks off this weekend!

November 17: Free Admission to Wildlights Zoo for Stuff a Truck: 10:00 a.m.- 10:00 p.m. at The Columbus Zoo | Every guest that brings in 5 non-perishable food items, will get one free admission to the Zoo. Wildlights will not be on until 5 p.m.
November 17: Ohio Chinese Lantern Festival: 5:30 p.m. – 10:00 p.m. at The Ohio Expo Center | 39 larger than life illuminated displays crafted by Chinese artisans. Nightly performances will take place as well!
November 17: Short North Tree Lighting: 6:00 p.m. – 8:00 p.m. | It’s the start of the holiday season when they light up the tree! The Columbus Chorus of Sweet Adelines will be performing carols, and Santa will be there too for pictures!
November 17: Easton Tree Lighting: 6:30 p.m. at Easton | Watch children’s eyes sparkle as Santa arrives, along with a special guest, to illuminate Easton’s beautiful Christmas tree and a breathtaking display of lights.
November 17: Family Night at The Worthington Community Center: 6:30 p.m.- 8:30 p.m. | Come out and enjoy games and activities with the family!
November 17: Tree Lighting at Tanger Outlets: 7:00 p.m. – 8:30 p.m. | Hot cocoa, cookies, see Santa, and see the beautiful tree lighting!
November 17-18: The Drowsy Chaperone at the New Albany High School: 7:30 p.m. |The Drowsy Chaperone is a parody of American musical comedy of the 1920s. Put on by the New Albany High School.
November 18: Girls on the Run 5k: 8:30 a.m.- 11:30 a.m. at The Columbus Commons | Girls on the Run of Central Ohio, Inc. is a life-changing, experiential learning program for girls ages eight to thirteen years old.
November 18: Christmas Corner: 9:00 a.m. – 2:00 p.m. at Franklin County Fairgrounds | Free admission and 65 holiday craft booths!
November 18: All Ohio Reptile Show: 9:00 a.m.- 3:00 p.m. at The Franklin County Fairgrounds | Come see your favorite reptiles!
November 18: Introduction to Baking: 9:00 am. – 1:00 p.m. at Stratford Ecological Center | For ages 10 and up, enjoy a fun hands-on class to learn the fundamentals of dough, quick breads, pies, cakes and cookies.
November 18: PB & J Jazz Family Concert: 10:00 a.m.- 12:00 p.m. at Lincoln Theatre | From Jazz classics to Disney Songs and beyond, there is sure to be music for all ages. It is a one-hour interactive concert for kids and families to introduce the next generation to jazz in a relaxed environment.

November 18: Not Your Mama’s Big Holiday Market: 1:00 p.m.- 6:00 p.m. at The Annunciation Cathedral Banquet Hall | An amazing afternoon of holiday shopping! Food, drink, festive music and 70 + vendors.
November 18: Wild Kratts Live: 1:00 p.m. at The Ohio Theatre | Animated Kratt Brothers come to real life in a classic Wild Kratts Story.
November 18: Concert Series by the Fire: 6:00 p.m.- 8:00 p.m. at The Shops at Worthington Place | Come join in the music by the fireplace. Two Fun Guys performing tonight!
November 19: Baby + Art: Thankful Turkeys: 10:00 a.m. – 10:30 a.m. | Ages 9 months to 2.5 year old. This is a messy and casual activity to explore new supplies, sensory items and meeting other mamas. $10 per family.

November 19: Give Thanks at Sunbury Urban Farm: 1:00 p.m. – 2:30 p.m. | Bring your little sprouts to the farm to explore the world around them. Starts with a story, followed by multiple hands-on activities related to the theme of Giving Thanks!
November 19: Holiday and Craft Vendor Fair: 1:00 p.m.- 4:00 p.m. at The Worthington Community Center | Admission is free and swag bags for the first 100 people in the door!
