The flowers are finally in bloom and the fresh produce is being loaded and transported to one of the fabulous Farmers’ Markets around the city! The smells, the sights, the relaxation, and the completion of a fresh meal on the grill brings a smile to our faces. On top of it, you know where your food is coming from and it always feels best to support local businesses.

This comprehensive guide to local Farmers’ Markets in Columbus will help you decide when and where to shop. Be sure to check out their event calendars because some of them offer live music, cooking demonstrations and other free activities. It’s fun for the whole family! 

Farmers’ Markets in Columbus:

Daily

North Market

Sunday-Monday 10 a.m. to 5 p.m and Tuesday-Saturday 9:00 a.m to 7:00 p.m. The actual outside Farmer’s Market will take place on Saturday and Sunday in 2019. (June-October)

North Market was established in 1876 and has more than 30 merchant shops set up inside selling a wide variety of items from organic produce, cheeses, meats and more. There are lots of fun events at North Market, so be sure to check out the Event Calendar.

Tuesday

Pearl Market

10:30 a.m. -2:00 p.m. on Tuesdays (and Fridays) from May 24, 2019 (first Tuesday is May 28) and running through October 11, 2019. You’ll find food items and hand-crafted merchandise. The 2019 location is Gay Street and Pearl Alley.

Hilliard

4:00 p.m.- 7:00 p.m. (May 28-September 10, 2019) at the Hilliard United Methodist Church parking lot.

Wednesday

Delaware

Wednesday 3:00 p.m. to 6:00 p.m. and Saturday 9:00 a.m.- 12:00 p.m. The market will return May 25, 2019.

On the sidewalks of historic Delaware you’ll find produce, baked goods, fresh cut flowers and crafts.

Franklin Park Conservatory

3:30-6:30 p.m. (June 5-September 4, 2019)

You will find seasonal fruits, vegetables, flowers, honey, baked goods, pork, beef, eggs and so much more! This year there will be no fees for vendors!

Upper Arlington

4:00-7:00 p.m (June 5-September 25, 2019). The location is still being finalized for 2019 and their website will be updated soon.

Thursday

Bexley

4:00-7:00 p.m. (May through October 2019) at Dawson and Main. Join in for food, fun, music and community! Tentative date of May 23.

Easton

4:00 to 7:00 p.m. (May 15, 2019-November 22, 2019) 

Starting on May 15, Yellowbird Foodshed will be on the Easton Town Square (Pickup at Zest) every Thursday from 4-7 PM, providing you with an easy access point to pick up your weekly food box. Easton is excited to partner with The Yellowbird Foodshed this year to bring you the Farmer’s Market To-Go!

The Yellowbird Foodshed partners with a network of small, sustainable farms in order to provide a direct connection from the farm to your table. Through the weekly food box program, they give the community a convenient way to access fresh, local food and have a true connection between farm to fork. The Easton website will be updated soon.

New Albany

4:00-7:00 p.m. (June 20-September 12, 2019) at Market Square

More than 80 merchants, food trucks and live music make this a fun event! They also hold an indoor farmers market on the first Saturday of the month from November through March from 9:00 a.m. – 12:00 p.m.

Pickerington

4:00 to 7:00 p.m (June-September 2019)

Nearly 40 vendors will set up shop at this weekly farmers’ market. Shops and restaurants will also be open. They will also move their market indoors from October – May also on Thursdays from 4:00 p.m. – 7:00 p.m.

Plain City

4:30-7:00 p.m. The market starts on July 4, 2019  and will continue on Thursdays through October 3, 2019. The market is located in downtown Plain City, off of S. Chillicothe Street.

Reynoldsburg

3-6 p.m. (June 6-September 5, 2019) at 1520 Davidson Drive near Huber Park.

Union County 

3:30 p.m.-6:30 p.m. on Thursdays, May 23- October 3 at 4 E. Ottawa Street (Richwood Library Parking Lot).

There will be surprises at every market, so come often and find something new every time! Popular items sell out quickly, availability also depends on growing conditions.

With more than 90 vendors, this is Central Ohio’s largest farmers’ market and it is open on Saturdays throughout the whole year.
