Fall is just around the corner! Since fall equals all things pumpkin, Columbus Moms Blog has your round-up of Central Ohio pumpkin patches below. Central Ohio Pumpkin Patches

NORTH

Lehner’s Pumpkin Farm – Radnor, Ohio

  • U-Pick? YES! There’s a 12-acre pick-your-own pumpkin patch.
  • Pre-Picked? YES!
  • Fall activities? YES! With a 10-acre corn maze, almost 50 acres of pumpkins, Yummy Food, and over 30 rides and attractions, Lehner‘s Pumpkin Farm provides ACRES OF FUN for all ages!! Spend a day on the farm and treat your family to some good, old-fashioned, country fun for very reasonable prices! Located in Radnor, OH (Delaware County), Lehner‘s is just a short drive from all Central Ohio cities. They have the best selection and pricing on pumpkins (pre-picked or pick your own) and all of your fall decorating needs. They also do group events, birthday parties and school tours!
  • Admission required? Yes (unless you are just buying gift shop items, pumpkins or food). All day activity bands are available on the weekends and cost $9 for guests aged 3-17, $7 for guests 18-59, free for children under three and guests over 59. During the evening weeknights the cost is $5 for guests aged 3-17, $4 for guests 18-59 and free for children under three and guests over 59. Show the coupon below for $1 off weekend admission.
  • Open daily? YES, 4:30 – 7:00 p.m. during the week (limited activities open, see the list: weeknight activities). 10:00 a.m.- 7:00 p.m. on Saturday and Sunday. On Friday, October 13th they are open from 10:00 a.m.-7:00 p.m. Opening day is September 22, 2018- October 28, 2018. 
  • Know before you go: Concessions available on weekends! The property is beautiful and there are lots of picture opportunities. There’s so much to do for all ages. There are some indoor barns with activities, so not everything is outside.

Freeman’s Farm – Galena, Ohio

  • U-Pick? No.
  • Pre-Picked? YES!
  • Fall activities? YES!- Hayrides, Kettle corn, scarecrow making, campfire concessions, apple butter making demonstrations, and petting animals. 
  • Admission required? No.
  • Open Daily? No. Six weekends beginning September 22, 2018. (Saturdays from 10:00 a.m. – 5:00 p.m. and Sundays from 11:00 a.m. – 5:00 p.m.) 

Hidden Creek Farms – Sunbury, Ohio

  • U-Pick? YES!
  • Pre-Picked? YES!
  • Fall activities? YES! Corn cannons, pony rides on select dates, pumpkin slides, kids play barn, pumpkin painting and great food! 
  • Admission required? YES! $7 and 2 and under are free. 
  • Open Daily? No. Open Saturdays and Sundays only beginning September 4, 2018 until October 3, 2018
  • Know Before You Go: Call to confirm the schedule for pony rides. 

Leeds Farm – Ostrander, Ohio.

  • U-Pick? No.
  • Pre-Picked? Yes.
  • Fall activities? YES! Mountain slides, racer slides, pedal carts, mini zip, pumpkin jump and much more! There are three new activities this year.
  • Admission required? Admission is required to participate in activities but not to purchase pumpkins. Prices start at $10 for adults (55 and over are complimentary, but it does not include the hayride or Big Zip) and $12 for kids (2 and under are free) and you can add the Big Zip for $5. 
  • Open Daily? No. Open Weekends only. September 22, 2018- October 28, 2018.

Miller’s Country Gardens – Delaware, Ohio

  • U-Pick? YES, on the weekends!
  • Pre-Picked? YES!
  • Fall activities? YES! Corn maze, wagon rides and more! 
  • Admission required? No.
  • Open daily? YES! They will open for pumpkins in October 2018.
  • Know before you go: Check out their market for fresh and yummy produce and baked goods.

Central Ohio Pumpkin Patches

SOUTH

Circle S Farms – Grove City, Ohio

  • U-Pick? YES!
  • Pre-Picked? YES!
  • Fall activities? YES!
  • Admission required? No. Activity wristband available for purchase.
  • Open daily? YES! 9:00 a.m. – 7:00 p.m. daily. 2018 dates are September 27, 2018- October 31, 2018. Their website will be updated soon! 
  • Know before you go: Concessions available.  

Renick’s Family Market  – Ashville, Ohio

  • U-Pick? YES! And, all you can carry for one flat rate. How fun!
  • Pre-Picked? YES!
  • Fall activities? YES! Live music, face painting, and lots more on the weekends!  
  • Admission required? No.
  • Open daily? YES! The website will be updated soon but expecting to be open August 30, 2018 from  11:00 – 6:00 daily; 12:00 – 6:00 Sundays.
  • Know before you go: The market has cute country decor and yummy food available on the weekends.  

Dill’s Greenhouse  – Groveport, Ohio

  • U-Pick? No.
  • Pre-Picked? YES!
  • Fall activities? YES! A 5-acre corn maze, sandbox, indoor straw maze, scenic tractor pull, games, activities and fire pit for roasting hot dogs and S’mores.
  • Admission required? $8 per person.
  • Open daily? No! Saturday and Sunday 10:00 a.m. – 7:00 p.m. from September 29, 2018- October 28, 2018. (Weekdays- groups only with reservations.)
  • Know before you go: Bring hot dogs and marshmallows and roast them over the fire. Dill’s will provide the roasting sticks. You can also buy hot dogs and S’mores kits from Dill’s. 

EAST

Dupler’s Pumpkin Land – Newark, Ohio

  • U-Pick? No!
  • Pre-Picked? YES! (Sorted by size)
  • Fall activities? YES- very affordable prices. Two slides, straw maze, haunted room, goats, bunnies and more.
  • Admission required  No. Free admission and parking. (Last year prices were $1 for a hand stamp for access to slides, straw maze and haunted room.)  
  • Open daily? YES! Monday – Friday 12:00 – 7:00 p.m.; Saturday & Sunday 10:00 a.m. – 7:00 p.m. (weather permitting). They plan to open Friday, September 14, 2018 at noon. 
  • Know before you go: Improvements are being made to their parking area and they are clearing out space for further expansion. In the past, they’ve only accepted cash or check. Dawes Arboretum (which is free, donations accepted) is about a 1/2 mile north so pair this with a trip to Dupler’s Pumpkin Land. 

Hendren Farm Market – Johnstown/New Albany (really, north and east of Columbus)

  • U-Pick? YES!
  • Pre-Picked? YES!
  • Fall activities? YES! Mazes, games, and more! The Iron Guy Corn Maze looks amazing! 
  • Admission required  No.  
  • Open daily? YES! Monday – Saturday 10:00 – 6:00; Sunday 12:00 noon – 5:00. They plan to open the last week of September 2018. 

Pigeon Roost – Hebron, Ohio

  • U-Pick? No. (Lots of pumpkins are brought from the fields and displayed in the barnyard area so there’s a good variety to pick from.)
  • Pre-Picked? YES!
  • Fall activities? YES! Tons of farm fun here! New in 2018 is a corn box and 2018 corn maze. 
  • Admission required? Admission only for farm activities. The pumpkin patch is free. Cost is $8. 
  • Open daily? YES! But, Closed Mondays. September 15 – October 31, 2018; 10 a.m. to 7 p.m.
  • Know before you go: The activities are spread out throughout the property and even into the woods. There’s a lot of walking and the scenery is picturesque. Not too far away in Pataskala is a ’50s style diner- Nutcracker Family Restaurant.

  • U-Pick? YES! (Available last weekend of September until they run out!) 
  • Pre-Picked? Yes! Many pre-picked pumpkins and gourds available in their market.
  • Fall activities? YES! Corn Wars is open from September 7th- October 28th, 2018. Corn maze, wagon rides, kids courtyard combo and much more! 
  • Admission required? Only for farm activities.
  • Open daily? YES! Activities only available on the weekends.

Van Buren Acres – Hebron, Ohio

  • U-Pick? YES! 
  • Pre-Picked? Yes!  Many pre-picked pumpkins are available near the entrance and exit.
  • Fall activities? YES! Two jumping pillows, an 8-acre corn maze, smaller corn maze, soybean maze, putt-putt, tetherball, barrel train rides, wagon rides, farm animals and more fall fun
  • Admission required? Not to pick pumpkins, eat at the cafe or shop in the store.  Admission is $8 (2 and under free) and includes most of the activities, but some like gem mining and pumpkin picking have an additional fee. Opens September 8, 2018.
  • Open daily? YES! Mondays are by appointment only. Tuesday – Saturday 10:00 p.m. – 7:00 p.m. and Sunday 12:00 p.m. – 7:00 p.m.

Schacht Family Farm– Canal Winchester, Ohio 

  • U-Pick? Yes! They also have a variety of snap peas and lettuce to pick as well. 
  • Pre-Picked? Yes! 
  • Fall Activities? Pumpkin picking and a small complimentary corn maze. 
  • Admission required? No, just pay for your pumpkin!
  • Open Daily? Yes. Regular hours in September and October. They have a great market with a lot of produce too. 

 

WEST

Jacquemin Farms

  • U-Pick? YES!
  • Pre-Picked? They aren’t sure about this year.
  • Fall activities? YES!  After school and on the weekends the month of October 2018. Hours are Monday- Saturday 10:00 a.m. – 5:00 p.m. 
  • Admission required? Only for farm activities.
  • Open daily? YES!
  • Know before you go: The pumpkin donuts are delicious!

Kuhlweins Farm Market  – Hilliard, Ohio

  • U-Pick? YES!
  • Pre-Picked? YES!
  • Fall activities? YES! 
  • Admission required? Yes! $10 includes a hayride to patch and one pumpkin per person. Fall activities also included.
  • Open daily? Hayrides during the week but more activities during the weekend. Opening day is September 15, 2018. 
  • Know before you go: Call to confirm schedule and hours. There is a great deli on site. 

The MAiZE at Little Darby Creek – Milford Center, Ohio

  • U-Pick? YES!
  • Pre-Picked? YES!
  • Fall activities? YES! 
  • A huge maze as well as other farm activities here.
  • Admission required? Yes!
  • Open daily? No. Friday Nights – Sunday Nights only. Open September 15 – October 28, 2018. (Closing at 5:00 p.m. on 9/22/18 and open on 10/19 at 12:00 p.m. for COTA Day) Friday 5:00 p.m. – 10:00 p.m., Saturday 12:00 p.m. – 10:00 p.m. and Sunday 12:00 p.m.- 6:00 p.m. 
  • Know before you go: The 9-acre corn maze is amazing! There’s a shorter path and a longer one. Also, the haunted path: Field of Fright is open at dark from October 5-27, 2018.

  • U-Pick? Not pumpkins, but there are U-Pick apples.
  • Pre-Picked? YES!
  • Fall Activities? YES! Some of the activities included are a small zip line, corn pit, jumping pillow (lots of fun for parents to jump too!) and Moo Moo Express. See a complete list here: fall attractions
  • Admission required? YES! Adults & Children- $10, Seniors- $5, Under 2-Free. Fishing and Gem Mining are extra. A farm pass is not required to pick apples.
  • Open daily? No. Saturdays and Sundays only September 8-October 28, 2018 from 11:00 a.m.-6:00 p.m. (U-pick apples began in August and run through the middle of October. Call to check availability.)
  • Know before you go: This is a picturesque location, so bring your camera to capture some fall photos. There are lots of live animals and several activities for children.

DeMonye’s Greenhouse – Columbus, Ohio (near the airport)

  • U-Pick? No.
  • Pre-Picked? No. But, kids get a pumpkin to take home with admission to the fall activities.
  • Fall activities? YES! A unique spot you will want to check out! The haunted greenhouse path is packed with lots of interesting decoration and mildly spooky frights.
  • Admission required? $8 for children and $2 for adults
  • Open daily? YES! Opens on October 1, 2018 through October 31st, 2018
  • Know before you go: Ok, so this one really isn’t a pumpkin patch, but it is too cute not to share! And, it’s inside!

Young’s Jersey Dairy– Yellow Springs, Ohio (about an hour west of Columbus)

  • U-Pick? YES!
  • Pre-Picked? YES!
  • Fall activities? YES!
  • Admission required? No. You can purchase three or five-tab wristbands and select which activities you want to do.
  • Open daily? YES! Pumpkin Picking begins September 22, 2018 until October 21, 2018. Fall farm pumpkin festival is October 6-7, 2018
  • Know before you go: The food and homemade ice cream are wonderful! There are lots of activities to keep you busy and things for older kids too like a driving range and mini-golf course. Young’s Jersey Dairy also has lots of different events throughout the year, so be sure to check the schedule.   • U-Pick? YES. And, a horse-drawn wagon ride to the field!
  • Pre-Picked? YES!
  • Fall activities? YES! Pumpkin slingshot, corn cannon, corn maze, straw maze, barnyard zoo, free horse-drawn wagon rides, a market that has apples, homemade donuts and cider. 
  • Admission required? No. Each activity has a minimal cost.
  • Open daily? No. Opening day is September 29, 2018 through Sunday, October 28, 2018. Saturday 10:00 – 7:00; Sunday 12:00 noon – 6:00. Beginning October 5th, 2018 they will be open Fridays 3:00 – 7:00. The website will be updated soon for the 2018 season. 
  • Know before you go: There’s is a market with lots of yummy treats like pumpkin ice cream! Haunted corn maze on Saturday, October 27th, 8 p.m.- midnight. 

McDonald’s Greenhouse and Corn Maze – Zanesville, Ohio (about an hour east of Columbus)

  • U-Pick? YES. 
  • Pre-Picked? YES!
  • Fall activities? YES! Pedal tractor track, gaga ball pit, baby farm animal petting zoo, a 5-acre corn maze, kangaroo jumper and more. 
  • Admission required? Yes. General admission is $7 for ages 3 and up. 
  • Open daily? No. Opening day is September 15, 2018. Times vary, so use this calendar to check: times open. In October, they will have evening hours on Thursdays and Fridays. 

Bonnybrook Farms – Clarksville, Ohio (between Columbus and Cincinnati- 20 minutes East of Kings Island)

  • U-Pick? YES. 
  • Pre-Picked? YES!
  • Fall activities? YES! Adventure wagon ride, corn maze, farm animals, giant slingshots, archery, and golf.
  • Admission required? No. These are the free activities: admission, parking, farmyard play area, Horseshoe Hill with tunnel and 80′ underground slide. Other activities have a cost. You can buy a wristband or purchase tickets.
  • Open daily? No. Saturdays and Sundays; September 29/30, 2018 – October 27/28, 2018 from Noon to 6:00 p.m.  
  • Know before you go: There’s a Farm Cafe Kitchen serving food and desserts.

The Farm at Walnut Creek– Sugarcreek, Ohio

  • U-Pick? No. 
  • Pre-Picked? YES!
  • Fall activities? During Fall Fest there are some special fall activities. It varies by the day of the week, so check out what is offered here: Fall Fest Activities 
  • Admission required? Yes. Prices vary.
  • Open daily? Yes, except they are closed on Sundays. Fall Fest runs from October 5-20 daily (except Sundays).

 Ohio Station Outlets– Lodi, Ohio (between Columbus and Cleveland)

  • U-Pick? No.
  • Pre-Picked? YES!
  • Fall activities? Take a quick train ride and pick out a pumpkin.
  • Admission Required? Yes! Ages 12 months and under $2.00, all others $6.00. Train Ride only, $4.00.
  • Open daily? No. Every Saturday and Sunday beginning October 6, 2018 until the weekend of October 27, 2018, from noon-5 pm. Uncle David’s Traveling Farm will be at the Ohio Station outlets on 10/28 from 11:00 a.m. – 4:00 p.m. The cost is $8 for a train ride, pumpkin and petting farm and $4 for kiddos 12 months and under. Fun!
