September is here! Who’s ready for cooler temps and all things pumpkin spice? The leaves may be changing soon, but one thing that remains constant is the opportunity to explore our great city! As you know, the kids are back to school, but the weekends are still full of fun with so many September events! Be sure to check out our list of fall posts below!

September 1-7

September 1: Historic Dublin Street Bazaar 2018: 9:00 a.m.- 5:00 p.m. in Historic Dublin | 14 food trucks, street vendors, live entertainment and so much more!

September 1: Home Depot Kids Workshop: 9:00 a.m. -12:00 p.m. at Home Depot | Make a pencil box just in time for back to school!  

September 1: Yoga and Tacos: 10:00 a.m. at Cosecha Cosina | Enjoy yoga on the patio followed by 10% off of brunch and tacos at Cosecha.

September 1-16: BIA Parade of Homes: Monday- Friday noon – 7:00 p.m. and Saturday and Sunday 11:00 a.m. – 7:00 p.m. at Eversole Run at Jerome Village | Tour newly constructed and decorated homes from a variety of builders.

September 1- October 28: Renaissance Festival: 10:30 a.m. – 6:00 p.m. on weekend dates | Thrilling acts, themed weekends, games, rides at this unique festival! 

September 1: The Bugman at the Conservatory: 11:00 a.m. – 2:00 p.m. at Franklin Park Conservatory | Included with admission- come see the Bugman’s favorite bugs! 

September 1: Sweet Corn Festival: 5:00 p.m. – 11:00 p.m. on Wednesday, Thursday, and Friday and 11:00 a.m.- 11:00 p.m. on Saturday in Millersport | 5k, rides, concerts, concessions, sweet corn and so much more during this 4-day festival! Began August 29th. 

September 1-3: Columbus Greek Festival: 11:00 a.m. at The Greek Orthodox Cathedral | Celebrate Greek culture with food, dance, and vendors! See their website for times! 

September 1-3: Canal Winchester Labor Day Festival: 12:00 p.m. – 11:00 p.m. on Saturday, 10:30 a.m.- 11:00 p.m. on Sunday and 10:30 a.m.- 6:00 p.m. on Monday | Food, entertainment, games, car show, scholarship pageant, and bands! You won’t want to miss it!  

September 1-3: St. Michael’s Parish Festival: 7:00 p.m. – 11:00 p.m. on Friday and 5:00 p.m. – 11:00 p.m. on Saturday and Sunday | A fun family festival with music, rides, and food! 

September 3: Labor Day Arts Festival in Upper Arlington: 10:00 a.m. – 4:00 p.m. at Northam Park | The Festival showcases the works of local, regional, and national artists working in a variety of media. Entertainment Stage with local performers playing all day, an Art Activities Area with performances and arts/crafts activities for children and adults and a variety of refreshment booths. 

September 5: Wild Story Time: Owls: 10:00 a.m. – 11:00 a.m. at Ohio Wildlife Center | Storytime and crafts about eagles this month!

September 6-8: Marion Popcorn Festival: Begins at 1:00 p.m. on Friday. Check their website for additional times! | Popcorn parade, 5k, rides, food, and entertainment for all! Lonestar to perform on Friday night!

September 6: Conservatory’s Farmer’s Market: 3:30 p.m- 6:30 p.m. at FPC | Last of the season! 

September 6: Pooch Ponds: 5:00 p.m.- 7:00 p.m. at Worthington Pools: Bring your dog to swim in the pool! No swimming with the dogs at this event 🙂 $5 per dog. 

September 7: Fitness Yoga on the Square: 8:30 a.m. at Easton | Introductory yoga class focusing on strength! Bring your mat and enjoy some fun in the sun! 

September 7-9: Vintage Market Days: 10:00 a.m. – 5:00 p.m. on Friday and Saturday, 10:00 a.m. – 4:00 p.m. on Sunday at the Franklin County Fairgrounds | Vintage Market Days® is an upscale vintage-inspired indoor/outdoor market featuring original art, antiques, clothing, jewelry, handmade treasures, home decor, outdoor furnishings, consumable yummies, seasonal plantings and a little more.

September 7-9: Columbus Oktoberfest: 5:00 p.m. to midnight on Friday, Noon to Midnight Saturday and 12:00 p.m. to 8:00 p.m. on Sunday at the Ohio Expo Center | Children’s games, face painting, juggling, and food and drinks!

September 7: Movie Series at Highbanks: 8:15 p.m. – 11:15 p.m. | Showing Black Panther! 

Events: September 8-13

September 8-9: Jack Hanna’s Weekend: 9:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m. at The Columbus Zoo | See Jack Hanna live on stage with animals and entertainment!

September 8: Old Hilliard Fest: 10:00 a.m. – 8:00 p.m. in Old Hilliard | Food, Live entertainment, car show, rides, and fun for the family!

September 8: PBJ and Jazz Family Concerts: 11:00 a.m. – 2:00 p.m. at Topiary Park | 1 hour long interactive story hour with a song, concert and craft after! 

September 8: Cinderella’s Fairy Tale Shower: 12:30 p.m.- 2:30 p.m. at Our Cupcakery in Dublin | A celebration before the big day! Games, singing, dancing, and learn to make your own cupcakes and decorate to take home.

September 8: Water Lantern Festival: 5:00 p.m. – 10:00 p.m. at Scioto Mile | One World is the premier water lantern festival filled with fun, happiness, and great memories that you will cherish for a lifetime. Family friendly event!  

September 9: 9/11 Memorial Stair Climb: 8:00 a.m. at The Chase Tower | This climb is a way to honor and remember the FDYN firefighters, police, and EMS who their lives on 9/11. This is an awesome event!

September 9: Powell Street Market: 9:00 a.m. – 4:00 p.m. in Downtown Powell | 90 + vendors, food trucks, artisans and all downtown Powell has to offer!

September 9: Yoga with the Wildlife Animals: 9:30 a.m. at Ohio Wildlife Center | $15 per session. 

September 9: Outdoor Inclusive Adventures 2018: 11:00 a.m. -3:00 p.m. in Hilliard | Get outdoors, active, and PLAY! A day of fun for the whole family with canoeing, kayaking, fishing, family hiking, live reptiles, nature crafts, lawn games and sensory play and a climbing wall! Don’t forget to register! Family yoga this year at 11:00 a.m. 

September 9: Cops and Kids Day: 12:00 p.m.-4:00 p.m. at The Westerville Sports Complex | Provides children the opportunity to interact with law enforcement and the community. K-9’s, motorcycles, will be on display and crafts, inflatables, and the Dunk A Cop tank! Admission is free. 

September 9: Doggie Paddle: 1:30 p.m.-4:30 p.m. at The Highlands Park Aquatic Center | Bring your pooch to the pool for a special swim time for dogs! 

September 9: Family Fun with the Columbus Zoo: 2:00 p.m. – 3:00 p.m. at The Franklin Park Conservatory | Come and meet some of the zoo animals at FPC! Included with admission. 

September 9: Family Adventure Tour at Columbus Museum of Art: 2:00 p.m.- 4:00 p.m. at CMA | Laugh, share ideas, and complete a scavenger hunt as a family during this guided experience. 

September 12: Slice of Columbus: 5:00 p.m. – 9:00 p.m. at The Columbus Commons | Come to sample your favorite pizza along with family-friendly activities! 

September 13: 7th Annual Fashion Night: 5:00 p.m. – 8:00 p.m. at Easton Town Center | A fabulous evening of fashion, beauty, entertainment presented by Columbus Monthly. Lots of promotions at retail stores too! 

September 13- October 30: Mary Poppins Jr| At Columbus Children’s Theater | Get your tickets today! 

Events: September 14-21 

September 14-16: Country Living Fair Columbus: 10:00 a.m.-5:00 p.m. at Ohio Village | Great shopping, seminars, demonstrations and delicious food and a chance to meet the editors of this magazine!

September 14-16: Columbus Caribbean Festival: 11:00 a.m. at The Columbus Commons | This festival celebrates the heritage and culture of the beautiful Caribbean Islands. Now a 3-day festival with a Bob Marley Tribute Band and Family Fun Day on Sunday.

September 14-16: Oktoberfest at Germania: 5:00 p.m. – 11;00 p.m. on Friday, 4:00 p.m. – 11:00 p.m. on Saturday and 12:00 p.m. – 8:00 p.m. on Sunday | Music by the Germania Mens and Women’s choruses, the Swiss Singers, Dave Sabatka and Frank Svet!

September 15: Old Worthington Market Day: 9:00 a.m. – 4:00 p.m. | Artisans gather on the streets of Worthington to present a colorful and varied display of quality handcrafted goods.

September 15-22: Delaware County Fair: 8:00 a.m. -9:00 p.m. at Delaware County Fairgrounds | Delaware County Fair featuring great harness racing, amusement rides, fair food, livestock and animal shows and sales, vendors and live entertainment. Visit it for family fun! See their website for exact times of events. 

September 16: All Ohio Reptile Show: 9:00 a.m. – 3:00 p.m. at The Franklin County Fairgrounds | Come out and see all your favorite reptiles! 

September 16: Fall Festival: 1:00 p.m. – 4:00 p.m. in Hilliard | An annual fall event that features inflatable games, crafts, horse-drawn hay wagon rides, fun family activities and more!

September 18: Taste of Dublin: 6:00 p.m. – 8:30 p.m. at The Wendy’s Company | Taste of Dublin allows you to sample delicious specialty items from the area’s top restaurants and catering firms. This is an upscale community networking event, which is open to everyone age 21 and older.

September 21: Bexley The Main Event: Showing the last movie of the summer: The Last Jedi! 

September 21-22: Powell Oktoberfest: 6:00 p.m. – 11:00 p.m. on Friday and 11:00 a.m. – 10:00 p.m. on Saturday at Village Green | A fun 2- day event will start off with a tasting party on Friday night. Authentic German food and music, cream puff eating contest and corn hole tournament! 

September 21-23: Round Barn Vintage and Made Market4:00 p.m. – 8:00 p.m. on Friday (preview night) and 10:00 a.m. – 5:00 p.m. on Saturday and 10:00 a.m. – 3:00 p.m. on Sunday in Lancaster | Modern Makers, pop up boutiques, yummy food trucks and vintage finds!

September 22: Harvest Fair: 10:00 a.m. – 4:00 p.m. at The Stratford Ecological Center | Discover your inner farmer, paint your face and climb a tractor!  

September 22-23: Fall Fun at Lehner’s: 10:00 a.m.- 7:00 p.m. | Join them any Saturday or Sunday until October 28th (And Friday, October 19) for acres of fun! They also have weeknight hours open for families from 4:30-7:00 p.m. (except October 29-31). September 22: Creekside Hops and Vines Fest: 6:00 p.m. -11:00 p.m. in Gahanna | 5th annual Creekside Fest. Popular Columbus Craft beers, wine, and live entertainment from JJ Snare and DJ Brad Hudson. Free gourmet tacos provided! Tickets start at $45. 

September 22-23: Fallapalooza: 8:00 a.m. – 7:00 p.m. at Hoover Garden and Gift Center | The fun includes lots of sales, our famous haunted maze, bounce houses for the kids, pumpkin painting, cotton candy and more! The cost for this event is free, however, pumpkin painting is $2 per pumpkin.

September 23: An Afternoon with Trolls: 3:00 p.m. – 5:00 p.m. at Dance Extension | Learn to be a troll- sing, dance, crafts, story time, face painting and lots of hugs! Ages 4-8. 

September 28: Grand Opening of LEGOLAND® Discovery Center Columbus: opens at 10:00 a.m. (check the website to confirm closing times) at Easton Town Center | There are 10 great themed zones in LEGOLAND® Discovery Center Columbus. September 28: 4th Friday Westerville: 6:00 p.m.- 9:00 p.m. in Uptown Westerville | Shops are open late and there’s fun for the whole family! Last one of the season!

September 28: Marvel Universe LIVE! Age of Heroes: 7:00 p.m. at The Schottenstein Center | An action-packed battle between Spider-man, The Avengers and the Guardians of the Galaxy. Get your tickets today! 

September 29: Pumpkinpalooza: 10:00 a.m. – 4:00 p.m. at Emswiler Farms | 10th annual event benefiting Children’s Hospital and the Inpatient Rehab Center. There will be hayrides, rides, bounce houses, face painting, pumpkins and balloon artists too! Wristbands for the day are $5! 

September 29: Apple Fest: 10:00 a.m. – 5:00 p.m. at Lawrence Orchards: Wagon rides, pony rides, petting farm, corn bin, train rides, pumpkin painting, caramel apple bar, and apple pies! Good old family fun! 

September 29: Harvest Fair: The Columbus Commons | There’s nothing quite like autumn in Ohio, so join us in the heart of Downtown Columbus as we welcome in the season! They’ve got pumpkins, games, crafts and plenty of room to play. And of course, they have inflatables! The event is free to attend; a $5 wristband will get you access to all of the inflatables. September 29-30: Columbus Coffee Fest: 6:00 p.m. at The Ohio Village | Tickets are available on August 21st. Don’t miss out, this event sold out in 4 days last year! It is your chance to taste local brews, purchase beans, and swag as well.     

September 30: Cinderella & Charming’s Fairytale Wedding & Royal Ball: 9:30 a.m. and 1:30 p.m. at The Exchange at Bridge Park | Cinderella and Prince Charming are getting married! A ceremony, wedding cake, live music, performance with 14 characters, tea sandwiches and more are waiting for you! Get your tickets today! royal ballSeptember 30: 2018 Dublin Pet Fair: 12:00 p.m.-5:00 p.m. in Dublin | Come and visit the rescues and your pet-friendly pet can participate in the contests. Food trucks on site!
