Columbus College of Art & Design’s Creative Summer Workshops are one-week or two-week hands-on courses for students in grades 1–12 that enable them to develop their art and design skills in a creative and mentoring environment.
Camp Curriculum:
Grades 1–2: Learn about color in the Creating with Color and Imagination Laboratory.
Grades 3–4: Explore the hues and values of color, botanical art, paper toys, printmaking, and more.
Grades 5–6: Discover the foundations of drawing, painting, digital media, mini-comics, and flipbook animation.
Grades 7–9: Dig deeper into animation, digital photography, fashion design, expressive drawing, and stop-motion animation.
Grades 8–12 & Grades 9–12: Explore animation, film making, jewelry design, digital portfolios, fashion design, and more. These classes serve as a base for students looking to go into art and design after high school.
Students should register based on the grade they will be going into.

Lunchtime childcare is also available at an additional cost for children who attend two workshops in a day.

If you have a high school student in grades 10–12 considering a future in art and design, CCAD College Preview, will make their decision clear—and earn them three college credits. In and out of the classroom, they’ll have opportunities to meet and collaborate with other emerging artists and designers from all across the country. They’ll participate in classes, workshops, and activities taught by talented CCAD faculty and will live in one of our residence halls, experience campus and the Columbus community—just like a full-time Columbus College of Art & Design student.

New Albany Ballet Company offers several different themed camps for children as young as two years old. Our camps this year will transform your child into the land of Cinderella, American Girl Doll, Beauty and the Beast, Moana, All that Tap and Jazz, and for our youngest campers we offer a Pinkalicious Camp and a My Very first Ballerina Camp. Arts Academy
In partnership with Columbus Children’s Theatre and Columbus Jazz Orchestra we offer a series of summer day camps, Arts Academy that explores performing arts. Theatre Camp is a great experience in musical theatre for young performers of all levels. In Camp JAZZ students learn from some of Columbus’ finest musicians how to rehearse and perform solo with a band, and as a member of a vocal jazz ensemble! Students will work together as actors, directors, camera operators, editors and scriptwriters to put together commercials, music videos and more in our Making Movies Camp. Each camp is a week long and the last day of camp is a showcase of students’ creativity from the week. Registration is open and closes the Wednesday before class begins. Space is limited.

Primrose School at Polaris welcomes you and your child to our Summer Adventure Club. We offer a wonderful summer camp program for school-aged children. Flexible scheduling options are available for upcoming 2nd -5th graders. This summer camp group will take 2-3 field trips per week. We also have summer camp groups for upcoming Kindergarten and 1st graders, and they will get to take 1 field trip per week. Turn your child’s love of LEGO into a passion for STEM (science, technology, engineering and math). Instructors inspire students to become engineers, programmers, inventors and entrepreneurs. Robot Academy is Columbus’ original LEGO Robotics and STEM camp. Our founders won the First Lego League World Championship two years in a row (first place in robotics and a Champions award) and have also won numerous national invention and science competitions. Robot Academy opened over 12 years ago and has taught thousands of young students. Many of our camp graduates have gone on to win their own international championships. Franklin Park Conservatory Summer Camp
Nature is the touchstone for the Franklin Park Conservatory’s summer camp programs. From cultivating and harvesting a garden to creating a culinary masterpiece, summer camp at the Conservatory is anything but expected. Campers revel in an experience filled with exciting activities while connecting with nature and making new friends. Campers will be some of the first kids to play and interact in the new Scotts Miracle-Gro Foundation Children’s Garden. Features include a stream, wetland area, canopy walk, nature art studio and more. Additionally, exhibitions including Blooms & Butterflies will be part of the fun!

Camp Architecture & High School Design Studio
A summer camp like you’ve never experienced before – Camp Architecture/High School Design Studio. Camp Architecture is a week-long summer camp for grades 3-8, which introduces students to the world of architecture and design. During the week, campers will be exposed to architecture and the associated fields of interior design, structural engineering, landscape design, and city and regional planning through field trips, hands-on projects, presentations by professionals, and imaginative games. Campers will enhance their STEM knowledge; develop creative ideas, leadership and team-building skills; build confidence; and plant the seeds for a life-long appreciation of architecture and design. Students in grades 9-12 attend High School Design Studio, a two-week camp, which focuses on teaching students the fundamentals of design and sketching in order to set a foundation in the fields of architecture and related design fields.

There are three one-week sessions of Camp Architecture (beginning the weeks of June 3, 10 and 17), for grades 3-8, and one two-week session of High School Design Studio (June 10-21), grades 9-12. Both Camp Architecture and High School Design Studio run from 9 a.m.-3 p.m., with flexible drop-off from 8 a.m.-9 a.m. and pick-up from 3 p.m.-4 p.m.
Columbus Academy Summer Experience
Columbus Academy Summer Experience is a great way to have fun this summer! We offer week long day camp programs in academics, arts & sciences, and athletics. We have programs for Pre-K through 12th grade including before and after care options, as well as a Family Division that includes Explore with Me: Caregiver & Baby, Grown Up & Child, and Adult & Senior classes that meet once a week. Come explore our beautiful 231-acre campus and join us for a summer full of fun and learning rolled into one!

There are ten weekly sessions to choose from starting June 3rd through August 9th, 2019. We have flexible scheduling that allows for full day from 9-4p, half plus from 9-1:30p and half day from 9-11:30a. Before Care is available from 7-8:30a and After Care from 4-6p.

Older students participate in our annual camp out and all students participate in our pancake breakfast, field trips, pool trips, water fun days, service and much more! Each grade level has their own weekly theme that will coincide with the overall summer program theme. Our Summer Program is for preschool (age 3) through the sixth grade and is a great place to learn, play and grow!

Prep Academy Summer Camp
The summer camp program at Prep Academy Schools is 10 weeks of fun and learning for students who have a wide range of interests. We offer full day camps for children from 3 years old to 8 years old in arts, humanities, sciences, and more! Our main campers will engage in hands-on sensory exploration, color challenges, and secret missions, among other fun activities. Our STEM campers will explore interactive topics such as astronomy, physics, engineering, game making, coding and digital design. Join us as we embark on an unforgettable adventure this summer!

TIMES: Our Main Summer Camp is from 7:00 AM until 6:00 PM for a Full Day, with a 3 day or 2-day option for part-time. We also offer part-time options for STEM from 9:00 AM to 11:30 AM or 9:00 AM until 1:00 PM.
Premier at Sawmill

We keep kids active and entertained through games, crafts, swimming and exciting guests. We have a variety of themes, so your little one will be sure to discover something exciting!
