Celebrate Noon Year’s Eve with Columbus Moms Blog!

0

Remember when you were 22 and New Year’s Eve meant sparkly dresses, sky-high heels, taxis (we’re old, this was def. before Uber and Lyft), buckets of champagne, loud music, confetti, and a rowdy midnight countdown? That was fun.  But times change, and I don’t know about you, but these days the thought of venturing out on the evening of New Year’s Eve sounds less than mildly appealing. But that doesn’t mean we don’t celebrate!  It’s just a little earlier in the day – and this year, we’ll be celebrating at the Columbus Moms Blog’s Noon Year’s Eve party!

What’s a Noon Year’s Eve party?

It’s a family-friendly event focused on allowing kiddos to celebrate the new year at a time when they are bright-eyed and bushy-tailed.  This year, we’re hosting the event at The Little Gym of Polaris on December 31, 2018 from 10:00am-12:00pm.  Their gym will be open for climbing, tumbling, swinging, balance beam walking, and general fun having!  If you’ve never been, you’re going to love the gym space, full of brightly colored kid-friendly gym equipment, soft surfaces to safely catch the little ones, and a large mat for dancing, jumping, and games.

But that’s not all we have on offer!  We are so pleased to be partnering with a multitude of local businesses to ensure this will be the best event of the winter for the entire family.

Read on for a timeline and description of all we’ll have on hand for this festive party, including our scrumptious menu of treats, as well as ticket information! And be sure to check out our Facebook Event page for updates and reminders for the event.

Timeline of Events

December 31, 2018

10:00am:  Doors Open

The Columbus Moms Blog and Little Gym crew will swing open the doors to welcome you to the party!  After checking in, removing coats, shoes and (for kiddos) socks, the gym will be open for playtime.  Please make sure you leave all car seats and strollers in your car as there won’t be a ton of room, this is a great venue to wear baby!

From 10:00-12:00 families can play in the gym, take a festive picture, color, or create a craft.  Be sure to snap a selfie or two at our New Year’s Eve Selfie Station, sponsored by Northstar Family Dental.  Next, move on to the activity table, sponsored by Barrington Schools, for some New Year’s coloring, resolution making, and a noisemaker craft to shake loudly during our countdown to Noon.

11:00am:  Snow Queen Arrives!

Our featured guest will grace us with her presence at 11:00am, so you’ll want to be sure to arrive well before then!  From 11:00-11:30 our Snow Queen will spread her wintery magic throughout the event, greeting and taking pictures with the guests.

11:30am:  Snow Queen Performance

At 11:30 our Snow Queen will lead us into the gym for a special performance and sing-along.

Just before 12:00pm:  Countdown to Noon!

Right before the clock strikes 12, we will all count down together, before ringing in the Noon Year with a balloon and soft ball drop!

A huge thank you to Jimmy Johns and i9 Sports for their generous support of this event.

Elisabeth
Elisabeth, a native of southwest Ohio, has recently moved back to her home state after 3.5 years in Dallas, TX, y’all. After having their son in early 2015, Elisabeth and her husband knew it was time to make the bittersweet decision to leave Dallas and head back home. Although neither Elisabeth nor her husband are originally from Columbus, it immediately felt comfortable and welcoming, home at last. Elisabeth is mama to a darling, wacky, and scrumptious one-year-old boy, Baby Bean, and married for over four years to the man who stole her heart with a smile junior year in college. Before embarking on her life-long dream of being a stay at home mom, Elisabeth attended law school in Cleveland and then promptly decided to become a real estate agent in Dallas. Elisabeth loves making lists of all kinds, squeezing into skinny jeans whenever possible, and truly believes nothing tastes better than that first cup of morning coffee (with lots of cream). Her favorite things include Cadbury Eggs, Christmas decorations, hotel room service, and watching Baby Bean grow and change each and every day, even if that means toddlerdom is upon her! Elisabeth is passionate about parenting, and loves to learn about the many different types of parents, child-rearing, and how individual families approach various, every day challenges. She hopes her stories can help others see a new perspective, understand that no matter what, they aren’t alone, bring forth a little bit of inspiration, and ultimately help other parents through this nutty job we’ve bestowed upon ourselves.
